Introducing the series Road Trip 2007

My cousin and I have traveled life together since we were children. We spent summers on her parents ranch where we ran barefoot in the sun, shared all our secrets and giggled under the covers at night until our mothers told us to hush up and go to sleep. They were still telling us the same thing to our teenage years. And so it continues. She has just returned from a trip to the East Coast, cross country from ocean to ocean and I have "traveled" with her via e-mail and photos. I would like to share her trip with you as she shared it with me. I hope you will enjoy my paintings of the Road Trip With GG as much as I have. Yes, we still share our secrets and giggle into the night. Some things will never change.

Painting in progress

This picture looks like there was not much progress, but I have put more highlights in preparing for color that comes next. The underpainting is so important as it provides support for the overall feel. Bear with me as it is a slow progression.
