Introducing the series Road Trip 2007
My cousin and I have traveled life together since we were children. We spent summers on her parents ranch where we ran barefoot in the sun, shared all our secrets and giggled under the covers at night until our mothers told us to hush up and go to sleep. They were still telling us the same thing to our teenage years. And so it continues. She has just returned from a trip to the East Coast, cross country from ocean to ocean and I have "traveled" with her via e-mail and photos. I would like to share her trip with you as she shared it with me. I hope you will enjoy my paintings of the Road Trip With GG as much as I have. Yes, we still share our secrets and giggle into the night. Some things will never change.

I wanted to paint a traditional painting and what fun it has been. I have been away from my blog quite awhile but planning on returning in force. I have been painting on commissions and have not been adding to my inventory. I will be showing in October in Puyallup, Wa. and looking forward to that venue as it always has been a good one.
16x20 Oil on gatorboard.

This painting is a labor of love. It is a commission and the subject matter lays close to my heart as it is of an era that I have so many fond memories of. The painting is 12"x24" framed with a dark cordoba and gold colored inset frame. The picture is quite a bit darker or richer in color. I fear when I took the picture the conditions were not the best.

This is the second cup and hand on the series. Before the open Studio tour I will paint two more. My cousin was the model this time, on to the next cup with a surprise model.

This picture is a commission for a great person now living in Brazil. It is a basket of Cashues and misc. produce. Very colorful and fun to do.

Java Series
I am starting a new series, I am starting now and will post a new Java image each week. All images will be 6"x6" on gesso board. Each picture will feature someone's hand along with a unique cup. I hope you will enjoy the show.
6"x6" gesso board. $99.00 postage prepaid.

I love the vineyards that have roses at the end of each row. Of course there is a reason for them, but it does not alter the fact that it adds poetic charm to a picture. Now what is the story behind the roses?
9"x12" oil on gesso board, unframed or framed for an additional charge of $75.00, postage prepaid. $250.00.

I am back......I have been on hiatus for the past two months and it feels good to be back. I will be concentrating on a grape fields series which involves plein air paintings. In our part of the country the grape industry is booming and it is amazing to me as I grew up in this area, eastern Washington, and the grapes were nothing but Concords. Now they are planting wine grapes everywhere.
