Introducing the series Road Trip 2007

My cousin and I have traveled life together since we were children. We spent summers on her parents ranch where we ran barefoot in the sun, shared all our secrets and giggled under the covers at night until our mothers told us to hush up and go to sleep. They were still telling us the same thing to our teenage years. And so it continues. She has just returned from a trip to the East Coast, cross country from ocean to ocean and I have "traveled" with her via e-mail and photos. I would like to share her trip with you as she shared it with me. I hope you will enjoy my paintings of the Road Trip With GG as much as I have. Yes, we still share our secrets and giggle into the night. Some things will never change.

Meadow Grazing

GG's 2007 Road Trip
What a great day on the Old Village Pike!! The sun is shining and warm; the farmlands are rich with the beginnings of summer crops and the feeling is euphoric! This horse just fit right in with my mood today. He is so good looking with his light chestnut coat and thick cream colored mane. He probably is euphoric, too, chowing down in that lush green pasture. He certainly looks very right with his world. Actually, that’s the way I feel, too.

The last image on this series. The next series will be on images from Zion National Park. I hope that you enjoy.

I will be highlighting quilts done by Karen Kimmel and GG, interspersed with the new series. Quilting has always intrigued me because of the work that goes into a project and most of us know little, of how difficult it is.

6"x6" Oil on gesso board, unframed. $99.00 postage prepaid.
