Introducing the series Road Trip 2007
My cousin and I have traveled life together since we were children. We spent summers on her parents ranch where we ran barefoot in the sun, shared all our secrets and giggled under the covers at night until our mothers told us to hush up and go to sleep. They were still telling us the same thing to our teenage years. And so it continues. She has just returned from a trip to the East Coast, cross country from ocean to ocean and I have "traveled" with her via e-mail and photos. I would like to share her trip with you as she shared it with me. I hope you will enjoy my paintings of the Road Trip With GG as much as I have. Yes, we still share our secrets and giggle into the night. Some things will never change.

Elevation here is 3,510 feet and the valley is 2,710 feet below. The Blue Ridge Parkway has beautiful views like this at every turn of the road and every one has a pullout so you can enjoy them. This one seems special not only for the view, but for this great outcrop of rock. It is friendly enough to crawl up on and sit enjoying the view below..which I did. Down the left side a rock cliff falls at a 90 degree angle and there are beautiful mossy ferns clinging to the rock. You should see this, it is beautiful country!
